In your own words, what does your role involve?
As the Human Resources Manager, I see my primary role as a support and advisor to the Directors, Managers and staff. I am actively involved in Recruitment, Health and Safety, Policy Design/Implementation, Training, Learning and Development, Employee and Industrial Relations. At Direct Couriers I am learning new areas that haven’t been in my portfolio before such as Quality Management, Compliance and Transportation Security. My day is kept busy, but my door is always open. I strive to add value to the business.
What do you like most about working at Direct Couriers?
I’m inspired each day by the talent we have working at Direct Couriers. I love the variety of work and support given to me from the Directors and my peers. Also, what stands out for me are the cohesive business relationships between each function – everyone helps and supports each other.
Which AFL / NRL / Super15 team do you support?
I guess because I always frequented Manly beach when I was in my teens – I would have to say Manly. But then again I frequented Cronulla beach too – so i'll put down Cronulla and Manly. For AFL – definitely St Kilda – because I know they last won the premiership in 1966! It’s the ONLY footy trivia that I know.
Other Interests?
I’d hate to admit it but I love watching really bad reality TV. I also love shopping with my girlfriends – preferably in Hong Kong. back to search results
