Direct Couriers is a privately owned transport company that has been operating a point to point courier and taxi truck business in the Australian market for over 40 years. With branches in five Australian states and also Auckland, New Zealand.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the office admin support ensuring the subcontractor drivers paperwork is current and updated in the system. The Fleet Assistant will also assist in the recruitment of drivers ensuring the fleet numbers and types of vehicles on board meet the business requirements. You will also provide administrative assistance to the Fleet Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will have strong attention to detail, be organised and efficient with a customer-service mind set. You must have sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility legislation. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous transport/courier experience.
Key Requirements
- Able to follow instructions and work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
- Able to multitask
- Computer knowledge, with an intermediate level of Excel
- Strong safety focus
