Direct Couriers is a privately-owned business that has been offering transport solutions across Australia for 39 years. We are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sydney or Melbourne sales team.
Reporting to the General Manager – Sales, the Business Development Manager - Linehaul is responsible for developing new business opportunities as well as managing and expanding on existing client relationships. This position has a strong emphasis on creating new business relationships nationwide. Flexible working hours may be required to get the role done effectively.
Experience / skills and attributes
As an essential criteria, the successful applicant must have strong sales skills experience in the Linehaul and Interstate Full Truck Load, with a minimum of 5 years BDM experience. The ultimate candidate must have a passion for selling and have exceptional relationship management skills. They will be a self starter who is proactive and displays excellent communication and time management skills; as well as have the natural ability to build rapport easily.
