With the continued growth of the e-retail sector, Direct Couriers has recognised the demand for a faster delivery time for online purchases. We don't only want to provide a faster delivery option to the consumers but an enhanced overall delivery service.
This e-retail service offers an SMS and/or email to the purchaser when the goods are collected so they know to be at the delivery address when the courier arrives. The email means the purchaser can follow the progress of the delivery driver on their smart phone, tablet or PC via GPS.
When the driver is within 5 kilometres of the delivery address we then send another message (SMS / Email) to advise the driver is almost there so the purchaser can ensure they are available to sign for the goods on delivery. An optional POD (proof of delivery) can then to be sent to confirm the delivery has been made.
