> LLOYDS LIST DCN AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING & TRANSPORT AWARDS
The Lloyd’s List DCN Australian Shipping & Transport Awards were held in Sydney on Thursday 26th November 09. These annual awards, now in their 14th year, recognise the achievements of companies and individuals in the transport, logistics and shipping industries across a number of categories.
This year we entered into the Training & Education Award category for our Regulated Air Cargo Agent training program. This award is presented to the company, institution or organisation with the best proven record in training recruits, young staff or established staff for work in the international trade and transport sectors.
For the 3rd consecutive year, Direct Couriers was announced as a finalist in the awards. Although we weren’t winners on the night, it is pleasing to be recognised at the forefront of our industry and particularly in such an important area as training & education.
In previous years we were announced as finalists in the:
- 2007 – Cargo Handling, Distribution and Technology Award
- 2008 – Training & Education Award
